It didn’t sit right with her… not at all. After they had dealt punishment to their disgraced Omega she spoke courteous farewells to the visiting Ichikans and then parted ways, leaving Zalen to escort them out of the lands/ “I will tend to Noah,” she told them, but before she could get a glare of suspicion she followed up with, “To make sure he leaves the denning grounds, but not New Dawn. He is shamed but still I will not lose track of my pack.” She wanted to know where he would be staying, a reasonable and tactical wish.
After that, she followed Noah’s trail for some time. She fully supported the sentence they deigned apropos and enacted it fully, never quite catching up to the wolf, never speaking to him, never telling him she was there (but it was possible she could have made a mistake and he sensed her). She didn’t turn away from Noah’s trail until evening fell and a miserable drizzle rained down from the sky. Noah would be out there in that alone; and he deserved it. She was still mad at him for forcing them to punish him.
Turning from this place, she padded a path back through the woods, keeping moderately dry. The snow mixed with water at her feet and churned into icy slush, and soon her paw pads were frozen numb but she kept going. Instead of heading back to the den, though, she went to a place where she thought she might find help… find out if what they had done was truly right. Avalon.
Emerging into the open rain without even hesitating, Titania padded to the lake’s edge. The banks were slick with ice, but farther out where the water hadn’t frozen over the rain made the surface dance. She peered out over the water, silent for a time.
Zalen must be finished by now… she thought, and tipped her head back to call for her mate. They needed to talk about this.
