Bad Luck Comes in Threes

Ezequiel strode forwards through the crowd, his face stony and hostile, glaring at anybody who would dare to come too close. Despite the non-movement of the rest of his face his eyes and ears were constantly moving, twitching about to try and pinpoint any possible threats. The reason for his paranoia was currently keeping close behind him, casting fearful glances around the crowd, her fear made all the worse by Ezequiel's own agitation.

Under normal circumstances Ezequiel would have been more relaxed even in a place as busy as this, confident in his ability to deal with any threats as they arose. However keeping Anita safe was a more difficult job, his sister less quick to react than he was. It was also a job that Ezequiel took seriously above and beyond the point of paranoia.

The tri-coloured male shifted as he felt soft fur brush against his own but didn’t react beyond that. Anita, not the bravest of canines at the best of times, was reacting rather badly to being in a completely new land and recently had been tending to hover around Ezequiel, clinging to him when she felt particularly threatened and keeping as little distance as possible between them even when not. Ezequiel reached a hand backwards discreetly, grasping Anita's and giving it a comforting squeeze.

All in all the crowded gathering was the last place that either of them wanted to be but it was a necessary evil. In their hurry to escape London the two had agreed to an extortionate price and had been forced to part with many necessary items in order to gain passage over the seas. On the way south Ezequiel had been busy hunting, building up a fair collection of pelts and bones to attempt to trade here. He had also been busy carving, creating several sets of figurines. Hopefully between what he had he would be able to get some things that they needed. If possible a thick fur, he thought while bringing his arms up to rub each other. Ezequiel had been born and raised in Africa and was unused to cold temperatures such as this. While his thick fur meant it was unlikely he would actually suffer damage from the temperature, he was still rather uncomfortable.

Scanning impatiently over the market Ezequiel noticed a stall manned by a blonde dog. Figuring that one stall was as good as another he changed course and headed over, tapping his twin lightly to get her to follow.
