The female manning the stall jump at his approach, reaching for a weapon and Ezequiel responded in kind, dropping into a half-crouch as his right hand shot up over his shoulder, grasping at the leather strap which would release his bladed staff from its perch in his back. Anita yelped but jumped back with a practised motion, still staying close to Ezequiel but giving him room to swing the staff if needed.

Thankfully the shopkeeper relaxed as she realised they were customers and Ezequiel let his tensed muscles loosen, his hand dropping back down to his side though his eyes remained sharp and alert for any further signs of aggression. Seeing none he made a discreet hand signal behind his back to Anita and the two moved forward, glancing over the wares on display.

Reassured by the thick wooden table in-between her and the blonde dog Anita moves off to one side, peering curiously at some furs stacked on the table while Ezequiel turns to the merchant as she speaks up in greeting, mismatched eyes still watching her with suspicion. "We're looking for supplies. Furs and bandages, a whetstone with some oil if you have one." The words, typically for him talking to a stranger, were flat and neutral. Only the tiniest hint of his Irish accent drifting along his voice. Ezequiel reached around to his thigh, patting the sack hung there. "Got some thin pelts, leather, bones an teeth to trade. Some carvings as well." Ezequiel didn’t remove the sack, instead waiting to see what was on offer first.

From the side Anita quietly spoke up, "This one looks pretty. And warm" Ezequiel looked over to see what she was looking at and saw a large brown fur dappled with yellowish tan markings. Idly he smiled at his sister and reached over to feels the fur as he waited for the merchant to respond.
