Ezequiel gave an approving hum as he ran his fingers over the cougar fur that the merchant had added to the pile, the fur was soft and felt to be good quality which reassured him that the merchant wasn't trying to cheat him.
The whetstone brought forward seemed pretty good, as did the bandages, but it seemed there was no oil with it. Annoying but not a massive problem, Ezequiel had scavenged oil from human cities before and there had been whispers floating around of a city around these parts named Halifax that he had been intending to check out anyway. Satisfied with the goods being offered him Ezequiel nodded in response to the merchant's request and carefully swung the bag off his back.
After rooting about through some of his other purchases and several rolls of thin leather left from his hunting Ezequiel pulled out a group of eight figurines. The figurines were all of a wolf pack, stood in traditional Lupus form, and were made of a dark wood polished to a shine. Ezequiel had been working on the figurines for quite a while and had put a fair amount of detail into them.
One wolf stood taller than the rest, a clear alpha with his ears high and front paws propped up on a small rock carved into the wood. Two vigilant looking wolves prowled in alternate circles while two more were show in play bows, growling playfully. The largest carving showed two wolves, the wooden figured joined together by a half eaten deer carcass while another carving showed a gamma, wooden body held close to the ground. Last but not least a mother sat tall and proud, a small wolf pup just visible against her thigh.
"There are more but those're the best." Ezequiel told the trader, hesitating a second and speaking again, "Name's Ezequiel by the way, that's my sister Anita." Ezequiel didn’t mention his second name, something he was oft to do. While Ezequiel kept his second name it was not out of honour but as reminder, certainly not something he wished to tout around.
