Leaving the festival in disgrace had been the last thing she'd wanted. The merchants had tired of her volatile behavior though, and thrown her out. Her new slave wasn't much help, complaining about why they were leaving when there was so much more to do. Tiring of his talk she'd cut out his tongue, deciding that he didn't need to be able to speak. He wasn't bright enough to ever be given a job delivering messages. No one would trust him for that. Amy had so much work cut out for her.
Reaching the harboring city Amy found her way to a hotel. Without the energy to even punish Raoth for his attitude Amy chained him to a sturdy pillar and collapsed on a bed. Fuming the mute coyote tugged on the chain, trying to get it to loosen. A sharp word from her got him to stop, though that wouldn't last very long. Exhausted Amy closed her eyes, letting the emotions wash through. She'd been so determined to keep this from slowing her down, only to find out that she couldn't do it. Her first time pregnant with no support, and she was ridiculously weak.
