The wolf was clearly nearing a time when she herself would be ready for pups. It was evident in the way she held herself, fixed on Amy's large swollen stomach. Amy continued to eat the small portion of meat delivered to her, savoring the flavor. It wasn't fresh; nothing she had was. Travel didn't usually permit such a thing unless it was right after a trade. On those nights Terra cooked the fresh meat, enjoying the taste before preparing the rest to not decay through travel by drying it out. Herbs were added to keep the taste from being completely dull, but it still wasn't the same.

He was disgusted that pups had been created, and wanted nothing to do with them. Well, that was fine. Amy could manage on her own just fine, always had.
