Call the knights of the old code

Tension sparked between the two large males and just when it seemed that a fight would become inevitable something changed, the atmosphere down-vamped and while the scent of anger still tinged the air it was no longer the murderous fury that had drove him to kill. Understanding bled through Jazper's posturing and as the father calmed down so the son did too. The monster burning away until it was all gone, leaving only echos of its hatred and an evil ashy taste in his mouth, combined with the metallic coppery taste and scent of blood.

He longed to lay down and sleep off the pain of his injuries and the remnants of malevolence that lingered within his soul. Juliet's fear was almost one with his own he could feel it so strongly, Lorenzo heard her whimper and resisted the urge to comfort her in front of his father, it seemed something too personal to do in front of anyone, not just Jazper. He blinked as surprise filled him at Jazper's easy acceptance of what certainly looked like trouble. His voice was subdued now as he replied with a short,

"Thank yee." Using his head like a guider he ushered Juliet across the borders, taking care to keep his own body between his dark father and light colored woman. He didn't spare Jazper a look back, focused on Juliet and watching for any signs that she would stumble.
