Ciara let out a playful yelp when she was splashed in Insomnia’s wake, shaking out her fur while still knee deep in the water. When the other female finally came out of the water and bounded off, Ciara dipped her head back. A short howl left her lips, singing to her pack mates that she’d made a friend in the other subordinate, and that they were playing. Once the howl was complete, the calico subordinate lowered her head and licked her lips as though she tasted the sound.
Then, she bounded off after Insomnia. Her paws dug into the dirt below and she propelled herself forward, chasing after the younger wolf. When she caught up, her jaws moved forward to give Insomnia’s tail a tug should she be able to catch it. Then she leaped in front of the girl, going down into the play bow position and wagging her tail. A short jab to her pack-sister’s chest followed, before Ciara then stood up and bounced towards the girl. She didn’t hit her, just hopped in one direction and then the next near her, initiating a chase from the other girl.
After hopping, Ciara then burst off in the direction of the den, trying to get Insomnia to follow.
