tearing at the seams

Omni watched confused as the man who once sat beside her had jumped up, frantically trying to get the scent away. Her brows knit in as he lay in the ocean water, scrubbing an trying to wash away. Maybe he didn't like the girl she had spoke about. Cocking her head, the russet girl replied quietly "I must've been wrong. It's gone. You may have overcome it though...You smell like salt."

That whole escapade of frantic attempts to rid oneself of another being's scent seemed different. Not something she'd do. Jacinto was her status, that she was taken already and she wouldn't have most come-ons. Jacinto would likely be insulted, knowing that someone he trusted was rubbing the scent away, throwing away that status. The scent of the girl didn't linger in the air anymore, neither did the tan and caramel female speak any more about it. She just didn't understand, that scent was so thick on his pelt. Much like hers usually was on Jacinto. Romance. But why would Hadley want to destroy that so much? Was the girl nothing in his eyes? Passing prey? Before accusing Hadley of anything, he'd mind stopped its confusion and she turned to other things.

Jacinto must have been worrying about where she was, and lately the small pains in her abdomen and the nausea that crashed over her in the mornings was becoming much more serious, she had ruled out pregnancy, how could she be pregnant? She must have been ill, a terrible flu from the winter months. "Hadley...I don't know about things.." She shook her head thinking about how he had gently held her. It felt strange to have things that way. Traitorous as very betraying. She didn't like it, she finally decided.
