Even with his young age, Skoll proved to be an excellent listener. She always imagined youngsters as not being able to focus on things for more than a few moment- Much like herself when she was excited. She tried to keep from fretting as the wolfdog took off to preform her task. She wouldn't be sharing the meal with him, for it was to small for both of them. Plus, she never really liked the taste of mouse. Others that she had spoken to, mostly that would secretly make a meal out of them while tending to the barn in her camp, said that they tasted like chicken. But she found the meat to be quite dry, especially after being cooked.
She had come to the realization not so long ago that not everyone cooked their food. She would eat things raw when she was to lazy to make a fire, or if she was really hungry. But otherwise, she enjoyed sitting around and watching the flames lick at the sky as she toasted her food. It wasn't so much that it made her prey taste different, or even better. She had just grown so used to the ritual that it felt strange not participating in it.
She had watched him rush by her and went against helping. It was difficult for her to simply ignore an easy prey just running past her, but she felt that he would feel more proud of himself if he had done it without her help. Her sensitive hackles caught the sound of the neck of the critter snapping, and she immediatly patted over to congratulate him. "You got him, Skoll!" Her docked tail wagged slightly behind her. "He won't be running up anymore clocks now. " She stated with a smile.
