The alpha was aware of Sebastian’s kindness towards a previous slave named Hadley. Anann had told him about the brown hued male who apparently looked as though he could hold his own but was quite shy and easily spooked. There was concern among the leadership that the slave would not be able to adjust to pack life after spending so much time being harmed and serving. Although pack members were expected to follow orders Jazper took pride in the unique individuals and treasured their opinions. A pack was nothing if a leader would not listen to his members, as the members were the ones who held skills that could make or break the prosperity of a pack.
The Knight wandered around the territory at a lazy pace. There was still snow on the ground but the air was fairly warm making for a nice day. He had considered tracking a young female moose that had made her way into Casa territory a few days prior but instead had found himself tracking something very different. The scent was only familiar to the alpha because Hadley had been staying with Sebastian and Jazper had picked up the unknown scent and inquired upon it. His nose wiggled, sniffing as he moved his large body in the direction of the slave. After some time the scent became very strong, signaling that he must be close. Golden eyes shifted and his ears turned in every which direction searching for any sound.
At last he spotted the ex-slave. He was exactly how Anann had described him. The male looked able bodied and held a good amount of muscle. He could easily put up quite the fight as a warrior if he would be trained. Moving quietly the leader took note of the deer Hadley was watching, quite the small but it would feed a couple of mouths. It was odd that the brown and beige wolf did not rush forward; it was a clear target all alone. Clearing his throat quietly Jazper smiled apologetic for disturbing him mid hunt but perhaps he could help the shy wolf before him.
