It was the smell of blood that roused Amy from her nap in the wagon. Unwilling to allow Raoth to steer the wagon after getting them both lost Amy had tied the horse to a nearby tree and chained the slave a fair distance away by a stream of water so he could wash his wounds and get something to drink. She didn't want them to get infected, after all. If he couldn't use his legs she would have to kill him, his worth spent. He didn't exactly have a lovely singing voice, after all.
Stumbling down Amy worked her way towards the blood, still half asleep. She remembered to bring her weapons, relying more heavily on her bow to defend herself than her sword now. A bow, throwing knives, darts, and poisons were her arsenal at the moment. Reaching the clearing Amy looked at a large coyote. Well, she looked large, but was probably just shifted into secui form. Amy glanced at the large moose with interest, her belly suddenly clamoring with immense hunger.
