OOC stuff goes here Big Grin

A blond dog broke through the crowd. Adelle stared up at the male that would be her mentor, the one that would help her become a great warrior. He was big and strong, though clearly surprised. The dignity he moved with reminded her of Grandpa. Shyly she glanced over to him, hoping that Grandpa would approve of her mentor, of what this meant. He had said that he was proud, and Adelle wanted to do everything she could to prove that his pride was right, that she would prove herself as strong a warrior as her ancestors were.

Wayne knelt before her, and Adelle did her best to not show the shyness that suddenly ran through her. This was a big occasion, the first step towards being an adult. Her voice swallowed up in the excitement Adelle placed her paw in the large hand before her. Someday, she'd be able to match him, would stand with the adults. The future swam before her eyes, before steadying and letting her focus on the present again. Her tail wagged happily. I'll be a good mentoree! That was the right word, right? She looked over at Grandpa for conversation.
