TaeKyung’s main focus was upon her master. The lunar orbs followed the lighter woman who rode upon the horse and led the animals away from their prior land of living. Those animals belonged now to Salsola. Salvia was to return with them to Salsola. That much the slave knew. But even stronger than the initial order was her master’s command. She would not let them be followed. Strong and practiced feet moved swiftly upon the earth, each step almost deliberate for the silence. The black female moved like the silent killer that she was, lunar orbs mirroring the emptiness that gradually filled her being with every passing day. The exotic woman of Korea accepted her slavery every day, and every day it was easier to accept. And she followed her master even now when the Salsolan boarders were far away, and she was compelled to protect and kill for Salvia by a simple order. That freedom within her was gone, but the wild feral creature that was the wolf still raged strong within her.

Behind her, something changed. The gait of the horse ridden by the other ranked Salsolan had changed, and the wolf knew that the prey-beast’s burden had changed as well. She wheeled about, a snarl at her jaws that glistened in the night. Her voice was quiet for stealth, but it shuddered dangerously in the darkness. She could see that in the distance, the Salsolan had been attacked and grounded. Hackles rose and adrenalin rushed in her dark blood. But her master did not slow. The obsidian, horn-like auricles swiveled turned back to her master. Salvia quickened the pace and did not slow for the packmate. And so, without a second thought, the tenebrous woman followed suit, turning her back on the fallen one. Effortlessly, the sinew beneath her coat carried her body, matching the quickened pace as she trailed behind the bounty in the shadows.

Suddenly, another enemy appeared, emerging closer to Salvia than TaeKyung herself was. The enemy bellowed a command, and the Korean’s beautiful maw grew terrible with a sneer. Why waste time with words if the only effect was to alert others of position? Salvia would know now that there was someone with which to contend. But as was ordered, TaeKyung would not allow such a thing. Her body grew excited, almost aroused, with blood rushing to her muscles and delight filling her sanguinely belligerent soul. She could have howled into the night, unleashing her wild and primeval frenzy. But her voice was silent. The enemy did not make it apparent that TaeKyung’s presence was noticed, and the enslaved Korean did not make any move to change that. Surprise would be her element, and she would use it well. She was silent as she stole up behind the enemy who brandished an knife and prepared to leap. The Jindo-wolf threw herself into full speed, and without pause she launched her body at the enemy, aiming plummet into the other’s middle and grasp there with hungry claws and tear there with thirsty fangs.
