Amy was tempted to ignore the howl when it reached her. She was nestled in her room, the pups gently suckling. Amy knew that soon she'd have to stop feeding them, but she'd keep them in decent condition at least until their father had seen them. She had made a contract with the leader though, and it was one Amy would make sure to fulfill. Sighing Amy scooped the pups up, dumping them into a satchel. They whined at the rough treatment, only to be met by an angry growl. The pups silenced, Amy made her way towards the cave. Carefully she made her way through, entering the room.
Three pups stood with the leader. It was clear that they were her children, and this celebration was for them. Her throat caught as her eyes glowed with anger, knowing that there would be no such celebration for her pups, that they would never have the chance to prove themselves, that the pack would never gather around them. They would die. A pure white male handed a tooth over to Naniko, declaring that he loved her. That wasn't something to do at a solemn occasion like this in Amy's mind. It might be said in private, but not in the open where enemies could make use of it. Well, not like there really were any enemies here, but the principal remained the same. At least it looked like a decent meal had been provided.
