Little boys don't stay little boys

Amy listened with interest as Naniko spoke, again battling a wave of anger at the truth of her pups never having their own. As soon as the speech was over the white pup that had been glaring at her the entire time moved over. Listening to his words she couldn't suppress a grin. Those were big words from someone who was yet to be able to back them up. The pup moved away before she could react, and Amy followed after. Aeron stopped Octavius with words of congratulations, allowing her to catch up.

Pup. She looked down at the small one. You better live up to those words. It was the best advice she could give. One only said what they could live up to. Pushing past those limits put not only themselves in danger, but the others around them. She headed over to the table and immediately began pulling out all kinds of food. The pups woke up, squirming softly in her satchel. Stepping back Amy found a place to sit and pulled the sickly pups out. As she ate the meat Amy gently stroked their heads, wishing that they could survive, knowing that they wouldn't.
