I know promises fade away
Tayui nodded in agreement when Vesper pointed out how lucky she was to have both friends and shelter, especially friends that were willing to take care of her without demanding much in return. Although they hadn’t said anything to her about repaying her debt, she knew she’d have to find one way or another to pay them back. She hated knowing she owed them something when she owed them her life. How could she ever repay that?

Quickly, Vesper distracted Tayui by continuing their discussion of Inferni. Indeed, Vesper seemed as though she would suit Inferni. Vesper identified Gabriel’s son as a leader worth recognition, and for this, Tayui was glad. Vesper struck Tayui as fairly reasonable and she was glad to know that Inferni hadn’t died out yet. They deserved their chance at happiness, even if they had caused their share of misery. Tayui was normally one who swung more for justice than mercy, but her bias tainted her view once more.

“Yes,” Tayui conciliated. “They have a rather interesting past. I’m glad Kaena is stil well – of anyone, she would be able to tell you the most of the old Inferni in Bleeding Souls. She led a vicious band of coyotes,” Tayui said, with a rather ominous chuckle. It was odd how she found such things funny now.
