So he would be punished. That single thought relaxed him immensely. It soothed him to think that the man who had done this too him would receive pain, although probably not as much as he was in, but pain nonetheless. Even if he didn't know... he still deserved to be in pain. A dark look crossed his face with a smirk. The thought of Hadley in pain, it sent shivers down his spine. He looked back up at the female. Her hand was outstretched. Without a second thought, he set his dainty, soft, uncalloused hands into her warm one.
This woman would help him receive his revenge. She would help him, he thought. Maybe she knew his pain. Maybe she'd been hurt by Hadley as well. At the moment he didn't care. With one hand in her's, he used the other to keep his blanket around his shoulders. He would meet her pack. They would find Hadley, and they would punish him. He nodded to himself, a little crazily. He managed a hoarse whisper. "Thank you."
He didn't understand her kindness. Why would she help a complete stranger? He didn't even know her name. As they wove their way through the trees, she pulling him behind like a little child as he stumbled about, he spoke in an almost kind voice. "My name is Dhiate, by the way. Dhiate Drako. What's yours?" If they were to work together, they might as well know each other's names.
