As usual the rising sun revealed Regner already wandering around the courthouse, the elderly dog habitually rising early in the morning just before the sun's rays peeked over the horizon.

However unlike usual today Regner wasn't randomly wandering about the halls but instead actually had an idea of what he wanted to do with the day for once. While Regner approved of the concept of pups having a mentor it bothered him that he barely knew Wayne, who had been chosen to mentor Adelle. The only encounter that Regner had had with Wayne was a brief encounter when he had been trying to make his way to the pack with a sick Adelle on tow.

The mandatory training that had been implemented recently gave Regner an opportunity to find out about Wayne without being obvious about it, both by talking to him before and after the spar he was planning to request and during the spar itself.

Still, Regner was getting ahead of himself. First he had to find Wayne and propose this spar, see if the yellow canine agreed to it. Regner had already eaten for the day and was now making his way back down the stairway to the sleeping quarters. Slowly and carefully he paced around, nose sifting through the mix of scents in the air until he wound one that matched the faint memory of Wayne he had and then he was off, following the scent to wherever it might lead.
