Bright, pulsing triangles of orange had imprinted themselves across his eyes, no doubt triggered by the wailing madness that was his little sister. Whilst running, chocolate stockinged paws tried to wipe the colours away, while chocolate ears flashed back to catch the hurried steps of his brother. It pleased the growing puppy to know that his brother followed him without question. Of course, it would have been their luck that their mother had been just outside the den as the two of them had come crashing practically tumbling over one another to get out of the pit of doom that it had become. Their mother couldn't exactly blame it on either one of the brothers- Niernan was just as likely to cause their sister pain than Bran was himself. All the little puppies concentration was focused on getting away from the den, from Ma and Pa and Uncle Emeris, who always seemed more accepting of the brothers troublesome attitude, but still felt the need to discipline them when things got too out of hand.
The darker fur of his brother caught up with him and Bran slowed so that they ran side by side. It was then that his brothers light-tasting voice came for him. Niernan's voice-flavour was hard to describe, especially since he had a limited vocabulary and couldn't put a name to the honey-sugar-sunlight that was his brothers voice. Instead, he gave his brother a wicked glance for the moment as they continued to run. It was fairly safe to say that if nobody had come to claim their punishment by now, then they wouldn't until the two returned home. Brown eyes fixed on a large log off to the side.
With another wicked glance towards his brother, Bran launched himself to the right and hopefully into the path of his running brother. Little milk teeth were opened to try and catch his brothers ruff as they barrelled towards the log. Mischief was the first and foremost thought in the young pups mind today and he was damn well going to cause some trouble.
