Alder imagined a new life for the wandering pony. She would be able to socialize with other horses and her kind if she wished, she would be groomed often and trained to work if her size fit the task. She would have purpose and shelter, food and a warm caretaker. Her life would be different and better in the eyes of the Marshal, even if Trent was reluctant to embrace the new member of the stables. The small mare had chosen the coyote, and Alder couldn’t see her bonding with any other. It was a bit of an instinct the Marshal had.

Trent spoke the name, and though Alder did not see the creativity in it he gave another nod and smiled. Seems good. he almost gave a bit of a laugh at the way Trent acted around the mare. There had always been a bit of hesitation in either males when interacting with one another, and Trent was overtly skittish it seemed. But Alder was confident in the pack lands and even more so when discussing horses, there was no need for his friend to be unsure. Alder knew what he was doing.
