Adelle paused temporarily as Dixie broke through the snow. Just as large as her, Adelle wagged her tail happily. There was no one around her size normally. Not even Cadmeia was really big enough, and everyone else was taller than her by a lot. Soon enough she remembered her purpose, and resumed digging through the snow, growling menacingly at it. She would get the mouse if it took all day! The white dog flopped down in the snow next to her, simply watching quietly for a while before speaking up.

The frustration Adelle felt when she didn't understand everything someone was saying was insurmountable. As hard as she tried Adelle just couldn't quicken how fast she learned english, though more and more words were being figured out, her sentences less jumbled. Adelle caught trick, quiet, and come, but wasn't sure what the rest of the context was. Puzzled Adelle laid down quietly, doing the one part that she did figure out. She looked at Dixie expectantly, hoping that more would clear up.
