Dixie sighed softly; oddly happy with the affection she could share with the little female puppy. It was easy and effortless, and she didn’t feel awkward about it like she did after being affectionate with anyone else. Showing that kind of affection towards Wayne was okay…but any other male was weird, and the grown females? They seemed to not like it coming from her, so she avoided it mostly. Being able to express herself to the pup made her feel great, and she found that helping with pups could possibly be something that she should pursue in the future.
When the mouse skittered out again, Dixie tensed, ready to jump on it if Adelle wasn’t fast enough. Of course the pup reacted perfectly and had the rodent pinned beneath her paw within moments, making the white furred woman grin and stand up. Hungry? Eat it? Leaning over, she licked over the top of Adelle’s head a few times, nuzzling her ears and whining softly, happy and excited for the pup’s little catch. Good job!
