Adelle was a cutie, and Dixie laughed softly as she followed the young pup through the snow. Thankfully the white powder wasn’t as deep or hard packed as it had been recently, as the weather had been warming up a bit. However, it WAS still deep enough for the pup to get stuck in a pile of it when she wasn’t paying attention.
Chuckling, Dixie trotted over and began digging, snow flying through the air behind her small body. Within a few moments there was enough room for Adelle to wiggle out. Maybe you should wait? Smiling and leaning over, she licked the pup’s ears and walked off again, sniffing around for a few moments before indicating that it was okay to follow. Shhhh, quiet…and slow.Dixie crouched down and moved slowly, her eyes and ears scanning for any hint of the rabbit she had scented.
There! The slightly off white color of the pelt caught her eye and she crouched lower still, crawling closer silently. Peeking back at Adelle for a few moments, she winked and then leapt at the rabbit. The thing was actually quite large, and hopped into the air as soon as it saw the fluffy white monster coming after it. Snapping her jaws closed with a ‘click’, Dixie caught the thing’s back leg in her mouth and threw it to the ground roughly, hearing a satisfying crunch of breaking bones as it hit.
Here, Adelle. Eat.
