Papa loped along beside them, much to the pups' excitement. He was running with them, playing, and all of them were relaxed and happy. It was a treat, one that Dalgina planned to relish to the fullest. Down on the beach the black pup trotted more slowly behind her sister. Keldava was occupied with chasing the seagulls, the birds squalling as they were forced to move away from where they were in their attempts to escape the exuberant pup. Dalgina joined in the chase for a little while before slowing down, looking up in awe as they flew. It was a beautiful sight.
The scent of the ocean brought her back, Dalgina moving to explore the small pools that lapped around everywhere. There was a whole new world in each one, just beyond her reach. The water acted as a portal to it, one that she couldn't break despite her attempts. She had to satisfy herself with simply looking. There was so much life in there, and colors she hadn't even imagined, glimmering and flickering below. If she could just touch it, capture how it felt. Keldava continued running around before plopping down in the sand, panting as she took a moment to regain her energy.
