With his tough hide and thick fur, Temo barely flinched when Keldava launched off of his back to resume her chase of the local birds. He watched the birds take off and squawk in protest at the pup as she ran around and chased them. They cast moving shadows over the beach and the wolves as they circled around and lit back down until Keldava ran in their direction barking.
It felt good to just lay on the beach and soak in the sun and letting the sea breeze play at his fur. Bits of his fur waving as the breeze moved about them and ruffled his hair. It was like a vacation away from the daily duties and he kept his mind away from thinking about his many projects and pack happenings that normally occupied his thoughts.
His attention focused onto his pups and their query to him about their length of stay on the beach. His plan was to stay the day or at least until they tire and want to return home. His mate and their mother knew where they were and that they could be gone all day. With a smile on his muzzle, Sure, we can stay the whole day, he replied.
