Levent used Charm! This is the floweriest post I've written in a long time.

Levent closed his eyes once more, taking heed of his other senses. His dark ears twitched in a mess of hair tamed only by his cloth headband, and he drank in the scents of the forest’s edge. An earthy smell had begun to rise from the woodlands, the aroma of flower buds waiting to push their way into sunlight. So too did the briny reek of the ocean taint the early spring wind, but for once the male failed to shudder at the scent. Weeks exploring this new land had tamed his phobia of the water—so long as it remained at a distance. He doubted he’d be so calm if he could see its silver-edged, thrashing waves now.

Another smell reached him, and his eyes came open. He pushed himself up slightly, propped on his elbows, as he sniffed and sought out the new smell. It was that of a canine, but it was blurred with other familiar odors—such as that of the alluring dişi şeytan. A frown tugged downward at his lips, but the traces of Amy were only faded, not present. She was not out walking that night, but whoever was knew her—intimately, if the other weak but again scents were anything to go by.

Rubbing his face, the brown wolf rolled and stood, brushing the dirt off his torn-off pants and the stained, once-white button-up shirt he wore. His claws lingered on the fabric, dancing up to the shoulder that bore the blonde woman’s mark. Curiosity won out over peace as he abandoned the cool grass to investigate.

A moon-silhouetted form appeared then, the dark edges glowing white, wind teasing long strands of silken hair. Dilated pupils wandered over the distant figure, and when the merchant padded nearer, he smiled.

“Ve ne güzel bir melek bu mehtaplı gece görünür?” Levent said in the darkness, coming ever nearer. The words that danced from his silver tongue were cliché by any standards, as were the raw and naïve emotions warming his skin, but the moon had always brought out the worst in the Turkish man.
