Her mother turned into a black and white fury above her, and Lillith crouched even lower to the ground. The beast charged them, and the woman stood and let forth a feral screech that chilled Lillith to the core. She had not often heard her mother make that noise, but it seemed that the ability to call in such a way ran in their family, for both she and her father were able to do so as a well.
The call did not faze the rabid cat though, and it pounced, only to meet the pads and claws of her mother’s well timed kick. Lillith was fascinated she wanted to stay and watch her mother gut the creature as she was sure she would do, but instead the monochrome woman turned and ordered her to hide. As badly as Lillith did not want to go away from the action, she obeyed her mother’s wishes, and quickly slinked back off towards the caves, trying to keep as low to the ground as possible. She came upon a small outcropping of rocks, and wedged herself into a crack therein, and turned her hazel eyes to gaze upon her mother and the cat. Where was her father? Did not want her mommy to get hurt.
