Lillith watched in complete awe, wide eyes and lips parted, as her mother battled the insane creature. It seemed for a moment, things might turn for the worst, but then like a bolt of lightning a single arrow flew true and hit the cat square in the eye, killing it. Lillith felt her heart beat quicken as the soul left the creature, most likely floating up to join the birds in the trees. Then, her father appeared from the forest like a beautiful statue to join her mother. Lillith watched them for a moment from the hiding place amongst the rocks, watched as they spoke and were affectionate with each other. The girl suddenly felt the need to part the two of them, and came bursting from the rocks like a ball of flame, PAPA!
She bounded through the tall grasses to the legs of her father and jumped up into his waiting arms to lick at his chin and face. She always felt so happy when she was with her papa, like everything in the world was soft and warm and bright. Papa! She said against, her rear end wagging so quickly that she nearly vibrated in his clutches, You killed it! You saved mom and me! I love you dad, you’re the best! She then began the wolfish kisses all over again.
