Sitting on the edge of Halifax, the ebony feline existed in a state of complacency and contemplation; a state on the edge of dreams and reality, a state where no routine was broken, no law folded, no tale untold. He was perfectly poised, a statue; and for a moment, he thought on how that could be, perhaps, all he was. A statue - not moving, not changing, not morphing into new endeavors. Simply being, living in his Halifax library, curled among the books, among hundreds of stories and experiences of others.
But the feline did not mind this; a relaxed state, a quiet life was not one to complain of. He simply sat, a lone black figure on the edge of the large and abandoned city. Element's emerald eyes were not focused on anything but rather, staring into the distance of space, unfocused. If anyone approached him now, he would likely not appear to notice, rather registering the approach in his mind and continuing to ponder - for that was what the cat did best.
