Saul Chibi is by Requiem!

Life in Hilsburn hadn't settled into something that was predictable. Where some settlements had a strict routine, or an endless list of chores that needed to be completed, the estate was relaxed most of the time. There were no border patrols to make and each of them hunted for themselves. While Saul felt obligated to help out around the estate, there was a lot less pressure for him to actually do anything. He felt as though he was slacking however- considering his 'previous' life where he'd constantly been doing something, learning or building or creating, that he sometimes felt redundant. He couldn't quite bring himself to start teaching Temeraire how to read and write yet- the boy was far too busy entertaining his new best friend, Elias who was Ezra's son. Saul found that he got on well with all of the canine's in Hilsburn, despite not having had a proper conversation with Ariadne yet. He would find her in his own time and see if he could at least befriend her. Today had dawn grey and overcast and Saul knew that he wouldn't be able to work on any training with Eirias, incase the young bird got caught in a sharp up-wind or some rain. It wouldn't do the bird any good to sustain an injury.

Making sure that his son was fed and happy, Saul had told the boy that he would be going to Halifax today, if he wished to join his father, but the grey male had been received with barely contained excitement about the game he and Elias had made. Kissing his son on the forehead, Saul had grabbed his satchel and moved out of the guest house, shouting to his son to behave on the way out. He'd moved slowly at first, eyes watching out for the swathe of burdock he'd seen a while ago- he thought he'd pick and dry some out as he hadn't yet had an opportunity to do so. Unfortunately, he seemed to have wandered a bit far- the more industrialised area of Halifax coming into view. Green eyes were intent however as he recognised the area, from a time long ago and far away when he'd come out here and met a girl called Skye, who'd taught him a little bit about reading. A grin etched onto his lips as he stood in front of the library, broken down and decaying but still magnificent.

He entered without thinking, hands racing over the walls as he walked. It didn't take him long to reach a room similar to the one he'd found so long ago, darkened but lit by grey shafts of light that didn't quite give it a mystical look bright sunshine would have done. Inhaling the deep, musky scent of the old books, Saul was shocked when a stronger scent caught him. It was distinctly feline. Glancing around the young male thought he spotted a pair of green eyes. Hello? He called, hand resting on his satchel strap casually as he tried to peer into the darkness.
