Dhiate was young and innocent and pure in the ways of luperci. While it may be true that in a few days time all of that innocence would be shot out the window, at the moment it was as if he were still drinking his mother's milk. It showed clear on his face as his jaw dropped at the atrocious behavior of this girl. What the hell was wrong with her? He gulped in an almost frightened manner. He'd never seen anything like this... Was she losing her mind? Was he in the presence of a psychotic meltdown?

Again his gaze was averted by his mistress's voice. It took only a second for the words to register in his brain. And he was perfectly willing to follow their orders. With a nod, he was already fleeing the scene, flinging a "Yes ma'am" behind him as he ran. He wove through the decaying mess of a city with his long braid out behind him, strands falling loose. He didn't know why the sight of that girl in such a state frightened him. It shouldn't. He'd seen Amy's wrath directed towards Raoth, yet he still adored her. He feared nothing but her disapproval. But this girl... He'd prefer to have Amy beat him than to find himself in such a state. There was something more than what he saw.

He turned the corner of a building and the wagon was in view. Dhiate was proud he'd been able to make it without a single wrong turn, but he'd strained himself. His breathing was ragged and he was wheezing. Dhiate doubled over, coughing hard enough that Raoth heard and left the wagon to investigate. Dhiate looked up and managed to choke out a few words. "Mis..tress... Wants you... At the..." He couldn't say anymore, because he didn't know what to say. Another few coughs. He turned around and started back to the building, Raoth close behind.

It took a lot longer to get back than it had to leave. Raoth smirked the entire way at Dhiate's discomfort and weakness. When they finally arrived, it was all Dhiate could do to lean up against the door frame, still catching his breath. Despite all this, he was lucky. Had it been a week before, he'd have been coughing up blood. He watched as Raoth calmly walked into the building and come out with a few bottles while he remained outside. He didn't want to see any more.
