This romantic serenade was not lost on her, and in turn made her smile grow as she fought the childish urge to giggle with delight. One would claim that such behavior was unbecoming of an Alphess, but it could easily be contested as to what was the appropriate behavior. It was but a name and in this private setting among her family, it mattered little. And so she could behave as unconventionally to her rank as she’d like without regret and revel in the joy experienced through the bond she shared with whom she cared for.
Still fighting and failing to subdue her whines of delight she brought a paw to her muzzle in a further futile effort to subdue her elated fit. “Well, you certainly have given them a difficult job,” she teased the small lot, “but I am sure they will succeed.” Gently she extended her muzzle to touch the cool flesh of his nose in a loving tap. “But, you don’t expect them to watch the little one the entire night do you?” she lifted her knowing gaze to his excited eyes with a brow delicately arched with a mirroring smirk. Drawing her ears forward, she lowered her voice and proceeded to whisper. “They might get distracted if we are gone for too long…”
