The yearling was on a mission today, which her stomach loudly confirmed. The huntress was on the lookout for food, not only for herself but for her two little charges as well. A loud mewing broke her thoughts, and her head quickly swung to the side, giving a pointed look to the kittens to be quiet. This would be one of their first lessons of hunting, she needed utter quiet and stealth to take down prey, which when they grew big enough they would be assisting her with. The mews stopped and both kits looked at eachother with guilt, they hadn't meant to disturb their ' mother. '

She was in her optime form this time, mainly because she needed more practice hunting in this form. Preferring to hunt without weapons, she looked down at her arms as she flexed her hand muscles out, testing her claws against a tree branch next to her and running her tounge over her newly-sharpened teeth. Hopefully she would fare well today. Looking back over at the kits, she smiled before ascending into the trees, leaving the kits behind by the beach. Before hand she had tucked them into a stump and covered their scent with leaves and dirt to provide them with safety, and the sunny female hoped that it would be enough.

Her muscles strained as she pulled herself up from branch to branch, carefully walking out on one before jumping from it to land in the next tree, taking much caution in her actions. One misplaced foot and she was going to fall to the ground, and from this height it would not be a pleasant experience. Steeling her gaze ahead of her and refusing to look down, she jumped and swung from tree to tree, trying her best to limit the noise the creaking branches made as she tried to be light on her feet but not having much success. The thick branches creaked and groaned as her weight shifted amongst then and she cringed, ears pressed against her skull.

Prey would hear her from miles away if she kept this up! Snorting in discontent, she dropped to a branch below her, landing as lightly as she could. Noting with satisfaction that she didn't make a sound, she cockily made her way forward. Ears perked forward and she noted some movement on the ground below her, so she dropped down another branch, this one silent as well. It was a doe and her fawn, the fawn fat with the rich milk it's mother had fed it. Licking her chops, she jumped from the tree silently, landing on the fawn with a sickening crack. Her weight from that high up was an instant death, and this was shown in the horror of the mother does eyes as she ran and jumped away, leaving her dead fawn to the she-devil that had dropped from the treetops.

This meal would be delicious.
