Curiosity is what Fayne felt now, accompanied by the overwhelming joy she had been feeling for days. She's just been accepted into New Dawn as a subordinate and she was thirsty for knowledge about the surroundings of her new home. Not to to mention, her stomach was bothering her for a meal, nagging with it's subtle growls and moans which were quit an annoyance. She had been padding along the beach on all fours. The dainty silver wolf had never seen such a large expanse of water before. She stood and stared, her brilliant blue-green orbs wide with wonder. The color of the water seemed to match her eyes, it was truly magnificent. The sounds the waves made as they gently caressed the beach with each new rush of water were soothing. A small breeze ruffled her full coat as she took in the gorgeous scenery. She felt truly blessed. For the first time in her life she was fully able to enjoy all the good things in life. She was high on life.

A large aching moan disrupted her zen moment and she was reminded that she was hungry. Fayne threw back her head and sniffed the air. Her dark ears twitched and swiveled as they attempted to pick up any subtle sound. Her nose caught a few different and peculiar smells. Two were canine smells, unfamiliar to her, and two other scents that were faded and hard to catch. A wolf's nose is capable of picking up even the smallest most discrete scents, her nose was her best weapon. They smelled like felines. She raised and eyebrow at the thought. Such weird scents to be found together. Unless the cats had fallen prey to the pair of wolves that she smelt. Oh, the taste of warm flesh in her mouth was a glorious thought. Her stomach gave another small grumble and she strode off into the trees to find out what the situation was. She stayed alert and cautious, she had no clue what, or who, she would stumble upon.

Before she broke into the trees she realized that the feline scent had become stronger, dead or alive these cats were close. She stopped and took in her surroundings. Her furry ears positioned forward intent on assessing the situation before her while her wet black nose wiggled with anticipation. The two wolf scents were close to each other, one male and one female. Were they comrades assisting each other on a hunt? Mates? She didn't know but now she smelt a third smell. The smell of fresh blood and a young faun. Now, Fayne was genuinely confused. Cats, dogs, deer...all in the same place? What the hell was going on? If the felines she'd smelt were not the catch, then they must just be helpless passerby's in the wrong place at the wrong time and if they didn't leave soon Fayne would hunt and kill them for her own lunch. She quietly proceeded into the trees stepping on a soft patch of leaves as she did. She sniffed and realized the feline smell was right under her nose. She raised a brow and gently uncovered the the two helpless kittens from their hiding spot.

"Kittens?!" She said aloud with surprise, her feminine voice was high in pitch. Immediately lowering her stance and pinning her ears to her head, she took a few steps backwards. She had revealed herself to the two not far ahead. She looked down at the bright eyed kits, her curious orbs studying them carefully. Her hunger shown in her eyes as the two helpless morsel's stood before her. Saliva overflowed from her jaws, she had to swallow again again to keep her mouth watering under conrol. Fayne couldn't touch them though, or she'd be in deep shit. These were not helpless passerby's but instead appeared to be someone's children hidden carefully under the dry leaves. Fayne tilted her head to the side jerking her head forward to peer into the forest. She was aware that she had probably startled their mother and may have gotten herself in a sticky situation. She took another step back and hoped the kittens didn't alert the mother and she could walk away unnoticed. Fayne stood tall, her tail raised and ears forward ready to hold her ground and explain herself when the wolves noticed her which she knew they would if they had heard her voice. If not, she'd be lucky.
