The enraged cat spat at her furiously and again dragged its claws against the side of her face. What was it with enemies having it in for her face. The old scars distorted with rage; her eyes that were fierce, burned intensely. The scent of blood was sweet in her nose despite its metallic taste. Behind her, her child whimpered and cried drawing all the more murderous fire from deep within her. Her teeth clenched tighter and something snapped. The bobcat yowled with pain and tried to dig a claw into her eye socket which was when she let go of it, throwing it against a nearby tree.
Jace backed up slightly, crimson streaming from the fresh claw wounds on her face, so that she towered tall and her shadow enveloped Keldava completely. She pulled her black lips from her fang and snarled, a demonic, fearsome noise. The bobcat righted itself also leaking blood onto the greenery. It hissed, now even more angry and in pain.
