I'm so scared of the light

Didn't include when he last returned from Freetown, nor did I include if he knows about the beating Salvia recently received >:| Sorry it's a bit crappy; i'm working to get into character with this one again.

Ivory glinted against perfect ebony as the male’s feelings were on open display on his face. But there was no one he could confide into, not even his own blood. Perhaps he was soon to learn not to have expectations. It would greatly lessen the risk for disappointment. Pandemic was young and full of promise, but he had moved in directions that left him unsatisfied for some time now. He didn’t enjoy travelling to and fro Halifax to learn the profession he had taken up, but he would stick with it even though it felt like it gnawed away on his ability to be happy. He had known it would be a rough ride, and the life of an apprentice was not an easy one. There would be a reward in the end, and he would be able to share it with his Family.

Stormy grey eyes squinted upwards into the clouded sky, and the memory of the fear of falling into the skies back when he was a mere pup seemed incredibly silly. He had been a dumb child and he hadn’t magically changed since reaching adulthood. He was nowhere as sharp as his green-eyed litter sibling. However, he didn’t carry any grudge or jealousy as a result of this. He was pleased to know that Salvia was the bright, climbing star of their family.

The morning had turned into noon much too soon, and the D’Angelo started heading for the stables, hands freed from the tools he used when he worked at what one day would become his profession. He wasn’t exactly certain of whom he was hoping to find, but any member of his family would do. Salvia was naturally dearest to him, for she had always been there. Pan wished to love his other siblings similarly, but the truth was that he didn’t have the time to get to know them. Duty stole his time away, and they were almost like strangers when he eventually returned to Salsola again. One day they were small babies that he could hold in his palm, and the next they were almost adults. Training to become a blacksmith was stealing his life away.
