Amy's ears twitched, listening to the words. Amy wanted to get up, stab the woman through the throat, make sure that she'd never have to hear that horrible noise ever again. Her hands dropped from her ears, shakily moving to push herself to her feet again. A small growl came from her at those words. That scream was a weapon in itself. Amy's ears had been sensitized to hear even the quietest sounds, part of her training to make sure she couldn't be snuck up on. Of course that sound hurt her ears.
The sword was kicked away, and Amy was glad that she always carried several weapons. Facing the woman without anything in her hands would have been a disaster. What would she do, having to get up close to attack? The bloody banshee would be able to start screaming long before she got close enough. Her back stiffened at the words, declaring he as nothing but scum. Amy was a Sunders! She was superior to those around here! She bowed to no one! Amy flinched at the threat to scream. She really didn't want to show her belly, moving as slowly as she could, hoping it wouldn't start up.
