Bitter Moments

The response was far from the gentle wolf that he'd met. Terrified from the nightmare that had pulled her awake she leaped away from him, growling with deep ferociousness. It was just fine with him, used to that reaction from the feverish Akira, fighting to rejoin with reality, combating her nightmares entering the waking world with her. Luckily he didn't have to work on settling her down as she recognized him, and came forward, pressing her head into his chest. He licked her ears softly, working on comforting the frightened female. It's fine. You're safe now. Whatever it is can't get you.

Fayne returned the rest of the way, the confusion and fright clearing away as she realized what had happened. He smiled at her excitement, pleased to see that someone was glad he was part of the pack that he was working so hard to belong to. He shouldn't have had to, if it weren't for the chill that had refused to leave from that first meeting with another pack member. Yes I did. It's nice not having to worry about luperci. Everyone's on four legs, so I don't have to worry about being towered over. It was an odd worry, bringing a chuckle from him as he admitted it.
