Bitter Moments
#14
She was enjoying the Tharin's playful attitude when he would return her touch with gentle nudges. Cheerful whines escaped her when he would bump her back, she'd push back little harder each time. His jaws tugged at the ruff of her neck lightly. She leaned into it and growled playfully. Turning to him and licking his muzzle quickly in response, headbutting his face gently afterwards. She pranced ahead slightly. She purposely swayed her tail at Tharin, swishing it against his cheek. She looked back over her shoulder and smiled widely at him. Her nose wiggled as she sniffed the air, the aroma of flowers met her nose. The meadow was just up a head. Though, she wished the meadow was farther away. She was enjoying the walk with her pack mate. She turned and gave a play bow to Tharin, whining happily. Then she ran off through the trees, bursting out into the meadow shortly.

The moon lit up the landscape brightly. All of the different flowers swayed in the night breeze creating a soft rustling. The previously loud chirping of the crickets stopped when she entered the meadow. Probably fearful of her presence, a few seconds later they started back up again ringing in her ears loudly. Fayne's ears twitched at all the different sounds. Digging noises could be heard nearby, most likely from smaller game burying into their dens. Nose wiggling as she deciphered what animals the noises were coming from. A symphony of scents lingered. Primarily being that of flowers, such a variety of smells. All of them welling up in her sensitive nasal cavities. Her face captured the wonder she had for this place, eyes wide and ears perked forward taking it all in. It was a paradise in and of itself. She turned to meet Tharin's eyes, her own eyes yearning for his acceptance of this place.
