The black wolfess was like nothing she had ever seen before. Sure there were dark wolves in Anathema, but none as perfect and dark as this person. A wolf shadow, the queen of shadows; Lillith wondered if she had control over the shadows such as Lillith did. Of course she must, why else would she look this way? A wolf shadow was born to command the lesser shadows, yes it must be true.
Of course it did not take but a moment’s pause for the woman to sense her, and she stood, turning brilliant golden eyes on the girl and becoming the visage of dominance; Lillith nearly melted at her feet, but instead, her tail began to wag slowly as white tufted ears lay back against her head, You’re beautiful… She breathed, completely in awe of the black beauty standing before her. But then, reason began seeping back into the cracks of her mind, and she flicked her ears back up, Lillith. Name yourself. She said, trying desperately to sound as commanding as the woman had before her, though failed pretty miserably, despite a good effort.
Lillith’s eyes then strayed to the woman’s paw, where she spied a distinct color that stood out against the ebony fur; it was blood, still wet, and Lillith became immediately interested, Did you kill something? She asked excitedly. For some reason, death had always been such a fascinated concept to the young pup, and she had dabbled in its complexities before. At one time she had had a collection of dead things; mice, bats, beetles; whatever it was she could get her paws on. She had been scolded for it, but also praised; it had confused her. Now, she was much more careful when she snuffed something’s life out; it was a private joy to her.
