The threat Shadow spoke surprised Terra. Kit certainly wasn't very powerful. Sure, he could carry her when she was in lupine form, but she wasn't very big. Terra could easily fight him if she needed to. Keeping her safe, well. That wasn't going to happen. Terra didn't lead a safe life, and she was never planning on doing something as boring as that. Shadow scooped her up easily enough, a small yelp escaping before she settled down, nuzzling against him happily.
Wonder crossed her face at Shadow's words. Love. She had managed to find love. Shadow loved her, and she was in love. She loved Kit, didn't she? Surprised by this revelation Terra looked over to Kit with fresh eyes. Did she really love him? Placed back down she slipped over to her "mate"'s side. She nuzzled against him softly, a new shyness around her. Was this love? Being shy where she should have been confidant, letting him touch her like this, going on adventures together? If so, she wanted this to last.
