Spring Construction Projects
With the spring season well on its way it is time for Casa di Cavalieri to finally make use of the large stores of logs, lumber and nails that had been gathered over the winter. The Guida have had several projects in mind since the foundation of the pack and now that the ground as thawed there is nothing to keep Cavalierites from acheiving these goals! The largest of these projects is to be a barn for the horses to provide ample room to house the food stores needed for the equine herd. Also, the Guida would like to see a few training rings. Not only for their obvious purpose, but to also give a set area for demonstrations along the borders. Members are also encouraged to come up with projects of their own, as they are no longer limited to the Courthouse for their residence and those that have proven themselves as valuable members of the pack can now claim a house of their own! (Costs 80 game pts) Barn and Stables Pole barn style construction with a room for tack and grain. 3 average sized stalls and 1 larger stall for foaling.
Sparring Rings Rather simplistic in their design, 2 members should have little trouble setting up each of the training areas. With a total of three rings there is plenty of opportunity for individual members to lead these groups and earn prestige with the Guida for their efforts. Fort Kingsbury To be built in an open clearing, several yards straight in from the main gates of the Fort. Constructions should consist of a wood posts with a thick, rope railing and sand floor.
Shattered Coast Located along the southwestern border of Casa di Cavalieri. Little can be done to soften the soil of the rocky Shattered Coast. The circular outline of the training ring would probably be most easily formed by landscaping the rocks of the area. While it would require leveling the stones with the ground level, it would still likely prove easier than digging holes for posts.
Arachnea's Revenge To be located along the eastern borders, a clearing in the forest should be sought out. It would be up to those working on the project to determine of the ring should be made of lumber and nails or the materials that nature, herself, provides.
