She heard Hadley whine softly, probably just upset that she wasn’t cuddled up against him anymore. He moved over so he was beside her and put his arms around hers. He was silent for a moment before basically telling her it wasn’t her fault when she knew it was. Isa could have just stayed in her room away from everyone else but she just had to leave and be outside.
What he said next absolutely shocked her. She turned her head and stared at him wide-eyed. He wanted to? She was beautiful and wonderful? He practically growled the last bit, which was also the hardest for her to believe. Isa didn’t see anyone wanting her except when she was in heat. It seemed he really did have feelings for her though. She was a little confused though, did that make them lovers or just friends with benefits? Isa wasn’t really sure. What does that make us? She didn’t know how he would react or what he would say. She hoped there was something between them but maybe there wasn’t.
