A functioning cog in some great machinery

[html]Sorry for the wait, gah

It was all happening so quickly. Siv managed to knock the horse down, and with it, its master; Maggie was proud of her family member for the battle victory, but she knew it wasn't over yet. Her side ached in pain, but she wouldn't let it cloud her mind, this was a matter of life and death now. Maggie's wound sent Denver into a fury, and he attacked their prey with a viciousness she had never seen before. Maggie gasped as she watched, almost forgetting to jump back into the fray.

The poodle-wolf was knocked down, and Maggie ran straight for the distracted other wolf. She stabbed him with all the might she had in the world, and was lucky enough to collide with his shoulder. The foreign cur snarled in pain and went straight for Maggie again, but this time she was ready. Their metallic blades collided again and again, each one too quick to let the other one make contact. Maggie hissed in anger and pain, trying her best to not let the white hot pain be the reason she is killed.
