She heard Shadow growl as she bit his neck and he wrapped his arms around her, sinking his teeth into her neck again. Blood slowly flowed from the wounds on her neck when she heard Hadley whimper her name. He started to lick her wounds before whimpering again. Isa turned her head to look at Hadley when he said he could bite. She was surprised when he bit her shoulder. He didn’t break the skin like Shadow did and he seemed upset by it, pulling back and flattening his ears.
Isa was going to comfort Hadley when Shadow spoke to her. She looked between Shadow and Hadley, realizing he was right. Neither of them really wanted her, it was just because she was in heat. Hadley would want nothing to do with her once she wasn’t in heat. He still loved Selene, he didn’t really want her. No one wanted her unless she had that scent. Her ears flattened against her head and she backed away from the two of them, tears starting to form in her eyes before she took off into the trees. She just needed to get away from everyone. All she would end up doing is hurting Shadow and pushing Hadley away, loosing his friendship. Isa loved Hadley. She knew she did and it wasn’t because she was in heat. Now she fucked everything up because she was in heat. She kept running, blood still dripping from her neck and tears streaming down her face. Isa finally just dropped to her knees and cried as she sat there. What had she done?
