He was not so completely awkward to remain entirely silent, and after a healthy pause blundered into what he considered normal conversation. "Er.. hullo!" The greeting contained a healthy dose of bravado, but his cheer was sincere enough. "Out enjoying the wind and the waves?" He didn't quite manage a full sentence, which was half a product of his state-of-mind and half an expression of his personality. Theodoric might be petrified of breaking some unwritten law in this strange new land, but otherwise, formality was a indistinct, foreign word.
