wave goodbye to what you were

The small woman had been born to trees, or at least it seemed thatway. She had crawled about in the branches of trees since the first day she had shifted. At one time it had been because she was afraid the world would see her for what she was, but over the years it had become second nature. The small woman had followed along with the builders, quietly climbing the trees that had been selected and finding the best possible branches to anchor the wood too. Leaving her own marks on the wood higher up she would scurry down to the branches below and attempt to keep up to find the next perch.

It took time, but the woman was at home in the trees, even if now her pregnancy was beginning to show and she was slowing on the climb and descent than she once would have been. She had finally caught up to Myrika and Alma, eying the woman she had taunted once as she scrambled up into the branches of the tree they stood by. She had caught the tale end of their conversation and with a growl of her own she stated frankly.

"Then I shall have to choose the deepest parts of the treetops to conceal our forms in.. and make certain that one can aim true through the branches." She grunted softly as she felt her stomach seem to revolt her recent activities. She ignored the tinge of warning it gave her and turned to the other two females. "These will make fine hunting perches as well for deer, elk and other larger prey.. if one is patient enough.." She turned her eyes to the two newer faces of the pack. She knew little of these ones but she didn't say anything, in time they would begin to get to know one another.. it was the way of the clan.
