That summer day was a particularly warm one, at least by Nova Scotia standards. It was comfortable instead of having the slight chill that lasted year long, and the breeze that pulled along the coast prevented any from overheating, and Alyssum found it the perfect day to patrol the borders with the blonde mare Antebellum, whom was finally familiar enough with the territory for her rider not to guide around the edges of the territory. It has been a couple of months since she joined Casa di Cavalieri, but she knew this was her permanent home, loving these lands and the canines within it. They all seemed to be cut from the same cloth, wanting the same desires and believing the same ideals. It was not long until the de Fonte felt fully comfortable among their numbers, and became familiar with many of her friends, though one particularly struck her.

Though she did not meet Jazper on the first day of joining the pack, it was not long until she came across the Sole. He was an easy man to get along with, and found his company to be to her liking, and enjoyed whenever they would run into each other. When alone, she would often ponder of him; whether it would be about his unique appearance or charming personality, though this she did not think much of. She thought of many people often, but more than lately it had been about the pack leader for whatever reason. But, she shrugged it off whenever that question came to mind like at had that afternoon, and let Antebellum continue the run through.

It was about mid-day when most of the western borders were checked and accounted for that Alyssum decided to put her companion up for the day, and perhaps treat her to a grooming as a thanks, and asked her simply to go to the stables, and the horse went off. When they got there, the woman led her to her assigned stall, and began to rummage through the stables in search of a brush; she had left her personal one for Antebellum at home without thinking about it, and wondered if they even had one for public use. Nonetheless, she continued to search, while the horse lazily watched without much interest. It was so far going to be a slow day for the remainder of it.
