The large pup stayed tense and for a moment Neela was afraid that she was going to be attacked; what a good impression that would make to her new pack, getting into a fight with a pup. The pup's sudden change of face was jarring but appreciated; when Neela identified herself as a new addition she sniffed at the collie briefly before suddenly becoming friendly, charging forwards with a waging tail to lick at Neela.
Rather bemused Neela rose one hand up away from where the pup seemed to be trying her best to coat Neela in a fine layer of saliva, claws extending the slightest amount to lightly scratch behind the pups ear. Even the pup's fur was thick and tough; Neela's claws were almost fully extended just to give her a friendly scratch!
The pup introduced herself as Adelle, claiming to be a warrior. The pups age made Neela doubt that claim somewhat, at closer inspection the pup still held hints of the disproportionate feet that marked a very young canine, it seemed more likely to her that if anything the pup was in training to be a warrior. Still it didn’t hurt to humour a pup so Neela simply grinned at the statement, "And a fearsome warrior I'm sure you are! Not even full grown and you already look like you could bowl me over!" Neela exclaimed, dropping into a playful tone of voice she generally reserved for pups.
Their meeting had started out a bit rocky but Neela saw no reason to have that continue; Adelle seemed happy now she knew who Neela was and the collie wasn't going to begrudge a youngling for acting cautiously around strangers. "So, what are you doing today Adelle, aside from assaulting walls?" Neela asked, a teasing lilt to her voice and a playful glint to her eyes.
